A while ago, I had the privilege of shooting my artistic friend Cindy in action. She’s one of a kind, a beautiful free spirit. We met in high school and were friends from day one. In high school she was always writing and drawing in journals and in search of inspiration. Since then, she’s invested in her talents and started art school. She’s very close to the finish line and has almost earned a degree in Illustration. Last december, she even had her own exposition. I love it when I get to capture someone in their element. The perk of photoshooting a friend is the chance to catch up while both doing our thing (me: practicing my photo skills, her: painting for a client). A fun and productive afternoon. As a birthday surprise, my sister snuck into my room and filled the floor with balloons. A lovely and colorful surprise indeed. When I entered my room, she apparantly wasn’t finished yet – so she came in with a sheet full of balloons and throw them at me like rose pedals. Some balloon dance parties may have been involved. Before my sister gave the balloons to me, she used them to photograph an awesome product of her own. Curious?
